David Sedaris on Sinterklaas

Just "één nachtje slapen" (sleep one night) and we Dutch celebrate the birthday of Saint Nicolas, aka "Sinterklaas" (ring any bells?). Many families will somehow plot to get a large sack of presents at their front door and have someone - which we will tell our kids was "Zwarte Piet" (Black Pete, Sinterklaas's trusty helper), but is more likely to be a friendly neighbour - bang on the door. Anyway, don't let me explain all the intricacies of this typical Dutch holiday, David Sedaris is much better at it.

Cult of Mac: Latest Version of Camera+ Turns iPhone Volume Button Into Shutter Trigger

The version that did this right out in the open was just rejected from the App Store, but there's a trick that will enable it in the current version. Just point your iPhone's browser at camplus://enablevolumesnap and be done. Turning it off is done the same way: camplus://disablevolumesnap. (You'll need to have Camera+ installed first, obviously).

Imagine my surprise when I saw the show notes for episode 780, and then watched the episode itself. The last episode? Well, sort of.

TiPb: iOS 4 walkthrough

Today we'll be able to download iOS4. Not the full joy for my iPhone 3G, but still interesting (planning to get an iPhone 4 as soon as it is available). TiPb has a nice walktrhough overviewing all the new features. Linking this as much for myself for later reference as anything :)

Running on water

This is cool (but is it real?). Running on water as long as possible. They're using waterproof shoes, have a technique going, they don't get as far every time. I.e., seems legit.
