I can't wait until my kid will be old enough to play with Lego (OK, so that may be slightly premature, considering we're due in april). Maybe I shouldn't look for excuses and just get some. This stuff is so cool. Incidentally, the numbers are black on white. Believe it or not, I took a few seconds to realize that.
Just "één nachtje slapen" (sleep one night) and we Dutch celebrate the birthday of Saint Nicolas, aka "Sinterklaas" (ring any bells?). Many families will somehow plot to get a large sack of presents at their front door and have someone - which we will tell our kids was "Zwarte Piet" (Black Pete, Sinterklaas's trusty helper), but is more likely to be a friendly neighbour - bang on the door. Anyway, don't let me explain all the intricacies of this typical Dutch holiday, David Sedaris is much better at it.
This morning, I tweeted about an email I received from PayPal. 140 characters proved a little short to make my point :)
This is what the email said (Dutch):

Beste Eelke Blok,
The version that did this right out in the open was just rejected from the App Store, but there's a trick that will enable it in the current version. Just point your iPhone's browser at camplus://enablevolumesnap and be done. Turning it off is done the same way: camplus://disablevolumesnap. (You'll need to have Camera+ installed first, obviously).
Ever since I got my Apple TV, I have been watching video podcasts on it (and is now the sole reason I haven't switched to Plex completely), and the one that's been in my iTunes subscription list since the very beginning is GeekBrief.tv. Imagine my surprise when I saw the show notes for episode 780, and then watched the episode itself. The last episode? Well, sort of.
Today we'll be able to download iOS4. Not the full joy for my iPhone 3G, but still interesting (planning to get an iPhone 4 as soon as it is available). TiPb has a nice walktrhough overviewing all the new features. Linking this as much for myself for later reference as anything :)
I'm not color blind, but I always find this kind of stuff fascinating.
Laat de entertainment-industrie nou eindelijk eens met een goed, legaal alternatief voor downloaden komen. Dit heeft niks te maken met betalen, maar met gemak. Daarom het initiatief van XS4All ondersteunen?
