Restored glory

Good news (which is slightly overdue). After last time's shameful news, I was a bit worried about what might have been damaged on the white Cooper. Luckily, the damage was kept to only the anchor plate and a misssing wheel nut. One of the Superfin brake drums also lost a few fins, but functionally, there was no problem, so it was reused. So, a new anchor plate, a spare wheel nut and some labour in Amersfoort later, the Cooper's glory was restored once again.

The weekend in which I also crippled the white Cooper, me and my dad took part in the "Kempen Trophy", a rally for Mini's (no speed, just a lot of puzzles). We came sixth there, which was not bad at all.

The next weekend, this time in the white Cooper again, we had yet another shameful experience, when me and Demelza took part in the "Nacht van Best", another puzzle rally, which takes place at night. Its not specifically for Mini's, and that means it's a step up from what we are used to for the Mini's. And since we didn't take our thinking a step up as well, with more levels of trickery than we are used to, we got pinched from behind by quite a few traps the organisers had left. We came only midway overall, and as one of the last Mini teams.
