Wall Street Journal: What Part of ‘Mini’ Did You Not Grasp, BMW?

This reviewer from the Wall Street Journal puts into words what has been my opinion about the Mini Countryman for a while. It's great my dad still gets to drive a Mini because of it, it's a great drive, I might even consider it myself if I was really pressed for space. But...

We'd never build a full-size Mini truck, would we, Meine Herren? The Germans burst into gales of laughter: Hah. Hah. Hah. Hah. Never a D-segment sedan? Again, Das ist nicht moglich!

Awesome, old-school book-style iPad cases

I've seen this a while ago and ran across it again just now via Twitter: DodoCase. These are beautiful iPad (and Kindle) cases that really breathe old-school. Not "dead tree" silliness "old school", but real beautiful craftsmanship Old School. I'm still on the fence whether to get one because up till now I've used my iPad exclusively at home and don't really need a case (plus, I've got an Apple case waiting for when I should need a case), but this is definitely the one to get, should I choose to get a more stylish case than the Apple one.

Cult of Mac: iTunes Is Apple’s “Weakest Link”

Seems I'm not alone thinking that iTunes needs to be split up into at least two, maybe more separate apps.

So here’s my suggestion. Break iTunes into separate tools for separate functions. An app that plays audio content. An app for browsing and buying in the Store. An app for managing iDevices. Break it up into its component parts, let each one do its thing. Independently, and when required.

A Mini-trip to Germany

I've uploaded some pics of our trip to Germany with Go4It, including the 2010 International Mini Meeting. You may have spotted them on Flickr already, but just in case you haven't, here's a direct link to the set: Go4It Duitsland Tour/IMM 2010. Unfortunately, in some cases I had the settings of my Canon EOS 450D screwed uo, so some pics are too light (I did try to repair them with Photoshop, but that goes only so far).
