Leftlane News: Spied: 2011 MINI Cooper S without camo

LeftLane News has some pictures of an MCS without any obvious camouflage. The upcoming R56 facelift? I have my doubts. The rear shows absolutely no difference with the current model, except for different exhaust tips, which show a striking resemblance to JCW tips. No different bumper, and no sign of the updated LED rear lights. At the front, we do see a slightly different lower grill. Most notable, it has some distinct air intakes.

My guess? This is the facelift JCW (educated guess suggested by the exhaust tips), that is being tested with as much current bodywork as they can get away with. The air intakes at the front are the brake ducts that have been reported to get onto the facelift model (not sure for which models those were rumoured, but I'd say if anything, the JCW would get them), but inserted in a front bumper that is made to look like the current one.

Yes Cooper S for 2011 has received few facelifts. Well speaking about the features obtained it is very long. If you need a compact car for a weekend drive to some cottages, this Cooper S is certainly the best choice.
